Turned Wooden Oblique Holder

The go to starter wooden oblique holder thats for everyone! This premium wooden oblique holder has a adjustable metal flange that could be adjusted to suit various different nibs. The minimalist yet intricate design of the wooden holder gives it an elegant look. The touch of the wooden holder offers a whole new feel to calligraphy writing. (Retails for around SGD35 excluding shipping!). Do note that this holder is purchased from a reputable calligraphy store from USA and the quality of the holder would be assured.

By providing two of the most popular nibs in our starter kit, you would be able to enjoy both the fun at the same time!

Nikko G nib

1 x chrome plated calligraphy nib that is smooth and long lasting! It is strong and yet still capable of a slight to medium flex. One really nice advantage of the Nikko G versus some other nibs is it holds quite a bit of ink, which means you won?t have to re-dip quite so often (as opposed to using a smaller nib like the Brause EF66). Re-dipping can get tedious and discouraging, especially if you?re just starting out. Nikko G Nibs are suitable for both Copperplate and Spencerian forms of Calligraphy and have always been recommended by many calligraphers like Michael Sull and Lindsey Bugbee(from The Postman?s Knock).

Titanium Zebra G Nib

Just like its Nikko counterpart, the Titanium Zebra G calligraphy nib has similar characteristics. The difference between the Nikko G and Zebra G nibs are that the Titanium Zebra G nib would be more capable of producing finer hairlines and thicker stroker (more flex) whereas the Nikko nib is more stiff. The TItanium Zebra G nib for manga use achieves a premium level of durability. This nib is a G nib treated with titanium coating, which improves its durability and resistance to wear and abrasion, while maintaining the comfortable drawing feel. The nib can last at least 3 times as long as the normal chrome Zebra G Nib which would certainly come in handy when handling acidic sumi or iron gall inks in calligraphy! :)

Daiso Sumi Ink is one of the most affordable sumi ink available in Singapore! It?s a well behaved ink that has little or no bleed through and feathering. This ink is also capable of achieving good hairlines strokes when writing It dries with a glossy finish too! It has became the go to ink for those looking out to start calligraphy and seasoned calligraphers alike.
