Introducing the Deck Hook
The patent pending Deck Hook is a unique carrying device for any longboard, skateboard or eboard. Quality and ingenuity are at the heart of it’s design with patented Fidlock SNAP fasteners and a lightweight aluminium body.
Compatible with Boosted Boards and many others with reverse or traditional kingpin trucks
Any Board, Any Backpack
No matter the type of backpack, if it’s got 2 shoulder straps and a classic design the Deck Hook can clip securely on to it.
Be able to use your skateboard when you need it and forget about it when you don't.
Stable and Secure
We designed the Deck Hook’s straps to fit securely and at an angle that prevents any board from twisting.
Using the Deck Hook
The Deck Hook clips on to any 2 strap backpack using the Fidlock SNAP system. The straps magnetically locate in to place and can hold up to 40kg each. To release simply slide down the SNAP lock.
Rubber pads protect your board, eliminate rattles and ensure a snug fit.
Developing the Deck Hook
After extensive research into the board carrying market we knew we we’re on to a winner with a simple design to be used on any board on any backpack – an all-inclusive product at a very affordable price.
Our journey began in March 2016 when design and development began and 100’s of prototypes ended up in the bin.
Skateboarders, longboarders and eboarders know what they like and are discerning about what they buy. Our sleek design reflects this and is made of only the highest quality materials on offer.
Below is the final design for the Deck Hook which will be launched in black.
Plenty of it
A lightweight Aluminium body weighing just 115g makes the Deck Hook superlight and super strong.

Stable and Secure.
Not going anywhere
Most backpacks have the same size straps and the same distance between them so we designed the Deck Hook’s smaller straps to fit securely and at such an angle that it prevents any board from twisting while in place.
Hang it anywhere
The Deck Hook is designed primarily for use on backpacks but can be used anywhere from coat hooks to doors. Each Deck Hook box comes with a Wall Hanger which mounts with 2 screws to any surface you wish. A slot in the Wall Hangers shaft allows you to slot the Deck Hook securely in place.
Any 2 strap backpack
Whether it’s a small camelback, a larger commuter bag or a sports backpack, if it’s got 2 shoulder straps the Deck Hook can clip securely on to it. The Deck Hook needs no adjustment and will fit securely without the need for buckles, adjusters or Velcro. The size and shape of most backpacks means the belly of the board will sit against the back of your backpack and keep it flat when walking with a board on your back.
Yep, any board
Longboards, skateboards and eboards, they’re all designed with the same trucks. The Deck Hook can fit on Reverse and Traditional Kingpin trucks. Specifically designed to carry both types the Deck Hook sits under the trucks of both styles comfortably and securely. The Deck Hook can't carry penny boards.
Fidlock SNAP system
We first came across Fidlock when researching fastening systems for the Deck Hook. We wanted something fast, user friendly and strong. The Fidlock SNAP system achieves all 3 of these goals better than we could have hoped for.
Using a small magnet, the tough nylon strap locates and locks in to place on the body of the Deck Hook. Once locked in, it can only be removed by pulling downwards, allowing the strap to rotate but never come out of place when in use.
The SNAP locator is riveted to the aluminium body securing them in place. Each SNAP system can hold up to 40kg.
Protecting your board and backpack are two rubber inserts in the valley of the Deck Hook protecting your boards trucks and keeping the board still when hanging on a backpack.
The powder coated Deck Hook is extremely hard wearing and with smooth edges won’t cause any damage or wear to your backpack. Most backpacks are made of synthetic fabrics and with the woven Nylon strap on the Deck Hook they will sit happily together without any rubbing or damage.
How It All Began
There are a few options out there for carrying your board but for a number of reasons we knew we could improve their design. Some use Velcro on the deck and require a whole new backpack and griptape, some use straps over your shoulder with the grippy deck rubbing on your back and of course there are skater specific backpacks. We recognised the need to carry any board on any backpack without the need to buy a new backpack or alter your board.
We explored a ton of options before we had finally found the perfect solution.
Why We Need Your Help
In all manufacturing, there are discounts for larger quantities. With guaranteed orders at these quantities, we’ll be able to keep the price low and create supply chains to allow us to get the Deck Hook to customers around the world. We have finalised the Deck Hook design, formed partnerships and have a solid production plan in place.
To ramp up production we need your help to meet our minimum order quantities to produce on a mass scale. We can then increase production and bring the costs down. Thank you for all your support. We’re looking forward to seeing Deck Hook all around the world and solving a common problem for all boarding fans out there.
Q: How theft-proof is my board when I am using the Deck Hook?
A: If you don't lift the board out of the Deck Hook from the correct angle the Deck Hook does stay attached. We decided against any form of locking device in the realisation that if someone really wants to steal your board, its no more secure than if you were carrying or riding it. If you like, you can add a strong rubber band around the body of the deck hook which can be clipped over the trucks and wheels once in place.
Q: What is the maximum user weight
A: Each Fidlock SNAP fastener can hold up to 40kg each. So if anything is going to break its likely your backpack straps! Thats plenty of strength for even the heaviest of electric skateboards.
